The piano

          The piano

For many years now the piano had stood in silence, like a tombstone in a graveyard, surrounded by echoes, memories of the past.

What things the piano had witnessed! Glorious concerts that delighted the countless ladies and gentlemen that dressed up in their finery and flooded into the concert hall: a wave of laughter and joy. Oh, how the piano had shone under the lights! Oh, how its keys had sung the most beautiful melodies, bathing the audiences in the movements of Chopin and Beethoven performed with angelic perfection! Now, everything was different. The events of the last few years had seen to that very last moment.

For many years now the piano had stood in silence, like a tombstone in a graveyard, surrounded by echoes, memories of the past.

What things the piano had witnessed? Glorious concerts that delighted the countless ladies and gentlemen that dressed up in their finery and flooded into the concert hall: a wave of laughter and joy. Oh, how the piano had shone under the lights! Oh, how its keys had sung the most beautiful melodies, bathing the audiences in the movements of Chopin and Beethoven performed with angelic perfection!

Now, everything was different. The events of the last few years began to fade away as if they weren't even a part of the piano's memories. The notes for the songs that the piano had sung years ago were lying on its keys. The pages were very over aged looking, all twenty pages were brown like a kiwi.

My poems

 My Haiku poem:

It was so, so cold.

Then it started to pour down.

And I was soaking.

My If(or what if)poem:

If I were as fast as the flash, I’d run across the whole world.

If I were the principal of Ahipara school, I’d allow lollies in the school grounds.

If I were a bird, I’d fly around the whole world.

Tikanga in the playground

WALT: Create a DLO about Tikanga in the playground

This week's writing task was to create a digital learning object (DLO) about Tikanga in the playground. I found it easy to pick a nice background. I found it challenging to find more ideas about how to show Tikanga in the playground. I really enjoyed decorating my DLO. Next time I need to improve on writing more ways of how to show Tikanga.

Division

 WALT: Understand division strategies

This week's maths task was to complete a few slides that were about division. I found it easy to read the instructions. I found it challenging to figure out some of the slides. I really enjoyed learning about division strategies. Next time I need to improve on working faster on my division problems.
